Association Croquet Coaching

Queensland is  well served by a network of Coaches at the Beginner and Level 1 in most Regions and Clubs.  In Oct 2011, four new Level 2  Coaches received accreditation, giving the State a good pool of senior Coaches.

Clubs  should be looking at development and succession planning to ensure that their Coaching resources remain at the level necessary to provide continuous support for both new and experienced players.  To that end, Clubs will shortly be asked to consider adoption of comprehensive coaching policies which clarify responsibilities at all levels.

Many of our current  Coaches are in the area where their qualifications require review or update.

Coaches, put some pressure on your Regional Coordinator to ensure that you are given the opportunity to update your qualification.

Regional Coordinators; put pressure on your SDC to provide the learning opportunities that you want for your Coaches.

Coaches.  If you need help, demand it from your Senior Club Coach.  Coaching in Queensland is an hierarchical business. The channel is from Beginner to Level 1 to Regional Coordinator to State Director, to National Director.  Please try your next level first.  If you don't find an answer there, push your question up the ladder.  No-one in the chain is entitled to take offence that they have been bypassed.

Players.  A number of people have put their own playing ambitions on hold, in order to impart to you their knowledge and experience.  You owe them your respect and appreciation.  Perhaps the best way that you can repay their efforts is by  taking on some of the Coaching load by seeking qualification yourself.

If you want any advice on coaching matters in your region, the first Port of Call is your RCC.

Shortly,we'll add some links to valuable coaching information.
