Club History

Founded: 1989

Croquet began in the Pine Rivers Shire in 1986 when the President of the Evergreens Club, Mrs Edna Herd, approached the Pine Rivers Shire Council for the use of land at the Community Centre for croquet.

Arrangements were made with the Council to lease a portion of Joe Davis Park, Brendale, which had the potential for three lawns. Joe Davis Park was created in 1995 to commemorate

the 50th Anniversary of the end of World War II, as that area had been used by the American Air Force during the war.
