Rene Cole and her husband Jim were long time members of the West Toowoomba Croquet Club.
Rene was a Life Member and the backbone of the Club for 42 years. Upon her death the family wanted to do something at the club in memory of her.
It was decided to turn the Division One Event in the Darling Downs Tournament into the Rene Cole Memorial Event with the family providing the Cup.
