PROUD HISTORY

Our Club was founded on 17th February 1925 on the lawns at the residence of Mrs. J. Sands, Tingal Road, Wynnum; the Club was "very popular and provided good healthy sport for the ladies of the district".  It was soon found necessary to provide further lawns for the rapidly increasing membership and arrangements were made with Wynnum Town Council for the lease of a portion of Kitchener Park.  Two lawns were prepared immediately and subsequently a pavillion and third lawn were constructed.

Today the club plays on four full size courts two of which are floodlit; the pavilion has been extended to its present club house status and plans have been drawn for further extensions.  Present membership of the club is 35 members which include two life members, Ev Morris and Phyllis Pledger.
