2026 CAQ GC Eights 2nd & 3rd May
Entry fee is $70 - please pay by credit/debit card
The event will be played at two venues - Wynnum and Toombul. The first and second Eights will play at Toombul and the third and fourth Eights will play at Wynnum.
Regiistration begins at 7am and play starts at 8am. There will be a warm up of 5 minutes before the first game.
Numbers will be capped at 32 players. Reserves are Penny Verrall and Dennis Green

GC Invitational 8’s Expression of Interest accepted by the Events Co-ordinator and divided into as many tiers of 8 as is required by entry numbers.
The order of each eight is calculated by players' World Ranking D Grade or handicap and Index for players without a world ranking..
Format: Played as double round robin blocks over two days. The winner of Double Round Robin is:
- The player who has won the most games
- If there is a tie on 2 or more players, rank the equal players on net hoops
- If there is still a tie, the winner will be based on number of wins/Net points in the games played between the tied players.
- If there is still a tie, Play off Hoop 2, 3 & 4 between the players.
The games are timed at 1 hour. There will be 7 games per person each day. The winner of the toss on the first day will be the loser of the toss on the second day.
WCF endorsed hoops and balls will be used. The hoops will be set at 3 11/16".
Catering - lunches can be ordered at Wynnum. Toombul and Wynnum will provide morning tea. Lunch at Toombul TBA
Practice is available at Toombul on Friday 1st May 3 - 5pm. Wynnum - there is no practice available on Friday 1st May
There are perpetual trophies for each Eight which can be kept by the winners for a period of three months, then to please be returned to Eildon Croquet Club. Each Eight winner will receive a take home trophy.

The blocks are on croquetscores but may change if there are any withdrawals.
