2023 Australian Ricochet Singles & Doubles

Entry is now open for the inaugural 2023 Ricochet Singles and Doubles which will be held on 14-20 April 2023 at Tempe in Sydney. All interested players should enter on-line via the ACA website (see links) by Friday 24 March 2023.

Vale Brian Dawson

CAQ have been notified of the passing of Brian Dawson. Many of the Association players will remember Brian from State events. He was associated with the making of the Dawson Balls before he sold his company. We send his family our condolences.

CAQ U21's ACA Golf Bronze Medal

The inaugural U21 ACA Bronze Medal was held on the 19th November at Stephens Croquet Club. Four players competed - Addison Mathews (West Toowoomba), Frances Wright (West Toowoomba), Tim Wright (West Toowoomba), Ethan Chilton (Southport). Spectators witnessed the next generation fighting for victory. The Winner, Addison will now play against the U21 winners from the other states in January at Eildon for the Gold and Silver Medals. Good luck Addison.

New Croquet Balls

Questions have been raised regarding the purchase of Croquet ball sets. Currently, the New Dawson balls do not meet international competition specifications, although previous Dawson 2000 balls remain approved. see more......

2022 President's AC Eights - October at Cairnlea

There are significant cases of covid around Australia, but no travel restrictions. ACA Events has decided to proceed with the President's AC Eights at VCC (Cairnlea) on 7-10 Oct 2022. VCC requires at least double covid vaccination to play. Although the event is closed if you wish to be a reserve please contact Peter Freer - pfreer@netspeed.com.au. Note that additional covid restrictions could still force the cancellation of these events.
