Vale - Mollie Muller formerly from East Brisbane Croquet Club.
Mollie passed away on 31st January, six days short of reaching 101.

The Inaugural CAQ Association Croquet Tier 1 singles
Wynnum Croquet Club had the honour of hosting the inaugural CAQ Association Croquet Tier 1 singles event on 28th and 29th of January. This is a new event in the CAQ Calendar which is open to a greater handicap range than previous discontinued events which were restricted to divisional boundaries. The goal is to increase entries by making CAQ events accessible to a greater number of players .....see more

Brisbane Metro Div 3 Golf Pennants 2022
2022 was the inaugural year for Division 3 Golf croquet Pennants. Seven clubs entered the event and after a lot of very close matches Eildon CC won by just 25 hoops from East Brisbane CC. A very successful competition which I am sure will continue to grow in 2023.

2023 Australian Ricochet Singles & Doubles
Entry is now open for the inaugural 2023 Ricochet Singles and Doubles which will be held on 14-20 April 2023 at Tempe in Sydney.
All interested players should enter on-line via the ACA website (see links) by Friday 24 March 2023.

Vale Brian Dawson
CAQ have been notified of the passing of Brian Dawson. Many of the Association players will remember Brian from State events. He was associated with the making of the Dawson Balls before he sold his company. We send his family our condolences.
The inaugural U21 ACA Bronze Medal was held on the 19th November at Stephens Croquet Club. Four players competed - Addison Mathews (West Toowoomba), Frances Wright (West Toowoomba), Tim Wright (West Toowoomba), Ethan Chilton (Southport). Spectators witnessed the next generation fighting for victory. The Winner, Addison will now play against the U21 winners from the other states in January at Eildon for the Gold and Silver Medals. Good luck Addison.
Questions have been raised regarding the purchase of Croquet ball sets.
Currently, the New Dawson balls do not meet international competition specifications, although previous Dawson 2000 balls remain approved.
