AUSTRALIAN UNDER 21 GOLF CROQUET CHAMPIONSHIP

Born after 1 January 2002 and play croquet? Strive to become Australia’s next Under 21 Champion! The fifth Australian Under 21 Golf Croquet Championship is a unique opportunity to hone skills against players of similar age and experience. The location of this event, being held at Eildon Croquet Club, Woody Point in Redcliffe, Queensland during the summer holidays, perfect for exploring Queensland’s famous tourist attractions. Limited billets are available for competitors and their parents.

2022 President's AC Eights - October at Cairnlea

There are significant cases of covid around Australia, but no travel restrictions. ACA Events has decided to proceed with the President's AC Eights at VCC (Cairnlea) on 7-10 Oct 2022. VCC requires at least double covid vaccination to play. Although the event is closed if you wish to be a reserve please contact Peter Freer - pfreer@netspeed.com.au. Note that additional covid restrictions could still force the cancellation of these events.

GC State Team 2022

The GC State Team had a photographic session on Sunday. Under a bright blue Queensland sky, this hardy looking bunch of Golf Croquet warriors are set to play hard in South Australia.

GG Albury Handicap Doubles and Singles

ACA Events notes that there are currently significant cases of covid around Australia, but no significant travel restrictions. ACA Events has therefore decided to proceed with the Aust Handicap GC Doubles & Singles at Albury on 26-30 Sept 2022.

MacRobertson SHIELD 2022

This International event is played between Australia, New Zealand, UK, and USA. It will be played at the Victorian Croquet Center on the 2-19 November 2022. Australia will be defending the shield which it won in 2017, the first time since 1935. Australia will be represented by Robert Fletcher, Malcolm Fletcher, Ian Dumergue, Edward Wilson, Dwayne McCormark, Stephen Forster.

ACA Open Singles & Doubles 2022

In 2022, the annual Australian Association Croquet Open Singles & Doubles Championships are being held at the Victorian Croquet Centre, Cairnlea; the largest croquet specific venue in the southern hemisphere, with twelve courts. Each year these prestigious events attract players from across the country and around the world, and this year, the Australian Croquet Association again welcomes Parbery Consulting, who returns as the major sponsor of the Australian Association Croquet Championships

New WCF Referee Regulations

All Referees please take note: New Referee Regulations (Version1.6) have been issued by the World Croquet Federation.

Gibson Medal Winner

Congratulations Kathie Grant on winning the Gibson Medal last weekend. Kathie is the fifth woman to win this prestigious medal in the previous thirty years. Runner up was Troy McCallum. Consolation prize winner was Lindsay David. Well played everyone.
